- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Whipped cream for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Combine the chocolate cake mix, 1 cup of water, ½ cup of vegetable oil, and 3 eggs in a large mixing bowl. Blend until smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and tap gently to release air bubbles.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cakes in their pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- Assemble the cake by placing one layer on a serving plate. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce and sprinkle half of the pecans and chocolate chips.
- Place the second layer on top and repeat with the remaining caramel, pecans, and chocolate chips.
- Finish with more caramel sauce, pecans, and chocolate chips on top, and garnish with whipped cream.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy!
