Description

A delicious sandwich featuring turkey, Swiss cheese, and caramelized onions, perfect for a hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 4 oz sliced turkey
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. In another skillet, melt the remaining butter and place one slice of bread in it.
  5. Layer the turkey, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese on the bread.
  6. Top with the second slice of bread and grill until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a slice of tomato or some spinach.
  • Use whole grain or sourdough bread for a different taste.
  • Can be made in a panini press for a crispy finish.
