- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions
- In a bowl, mix sliced strawberries with sugar and let them sit for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then fold in whipped cream and vanilla extract.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the sponge cake or ladyfingers.
- Layer the macerated strawberries on top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Roll the sponge cake or ladyfingers tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Slice the rolls and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a splash of lemon juice to the strawberries.
