Ingredients

  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon allspice berries
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the apple cider, orange slices, lemon slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice berries.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. If desired, stir in brown sugar to taste.
  5. Strain the cider to remove the spices and fruit slices before serving.
