Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, maple syrup, milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix the chopped pecans, brown sugar, flour, and softened butter until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the pecan mixture over the sweet potato layer.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark maple syrup.
  • Can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
