  • 1 cup rhubarb, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Heat the milk and butter until warm, then mix with the flour mixture and egg until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about five minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about one hour.
  5. Roll the risen dough into a rectangle, spread rhubarb over it, and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 1-inch rolls, placing them in a greased baking dish.
  7. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Mix powdered sugar with milk for icing and drizzle over the warm rolls before serving.
