Description

Pigs in a Blanket are a delicious and fun appetizer made by wrapping small sausages in dough and baking them until golden brown.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of cocktail sausages (about 12 oz)
  • 1 can of crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  3. If using, sprinkle shredded cheese on the wide end of each triangle.
  4. Place a cocktail sausage at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up.
  5. Place the rolled sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the rolled sausages.
  7. Sprinkle poppy seeds on top if desired.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
