Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1 cup of crispy fried onions
  • 2 slices of bread
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. In the same skillet, butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the cheddar cheese, bacon, and drizzle with maple syrup.
  4. Add a generous amount of crispy fried onions on top.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Grill the sandwich in the skillet over medium heat until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve warm.
