- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
- Add the steak pieces to the marinade and let them sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated steak bites.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and cooked to your liking.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry, then add it to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce is sticky.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the steak overnight.
- Serve with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
