Ingredients
- Fresh Croissants
- Eggs
- Cheese (Cheddar or Swiss)
- Cooked Bacon or Sausage (optional)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Butter (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice each croissant in half horizontally and arrange them open-faced on a baking sheet.
- Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Scramble the eggs in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until fluffy and set.
- Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each croissant, followed by scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage, if desired.
- Press the top half of each croissant over the fillings.
- Spread a thin layer of butter on the outside of each croissant, if using.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until warm and the cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately with fruit or coffee.
Notes
Optionally, use pre-cooked sausage patties or microwaveable bacon for quicker preparation. Consider adding vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for freshness.
