Description

Deliciously warm croissant sandwiches filled with creamy scrambled eggs, rich cheese, and crispy bacon or sausage.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Croissants
  • Eggs
  • Cheese (Cheddar or Swiss)
  • Cooked Bacon or Sausage (optional)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice each croissant in half horizontally and arrange them open-faced on a baking sheet.
  3. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper in a mixing bowl.
  4. Scramble the eggs in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until fluffy and set.
  5. Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each croissant, followed by scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage, if desired.
  6. Press the top half of each croissant over the fillings.
  7. Spread a thin layer of butter on the outside of each croissant, if using.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until warm and the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve immediately with fruit or coffee.

Notes

Optionally, use pre-cooked sausage patties or microwaveable bacon for quicker preparation. Consider adding vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for freshness.
