- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup crab meat, cooked and shredded
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 package of wonton wrappers
- Oil for frying
- Dipping sauces of choice
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, shredded crab meat, finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce until thoroughly combined.
- Fill the Wonton Wrappers: Place about a teaspoon of the crab mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Seal the Wrappers: Moisten the edges of each wrapper with a touch of water and fold to seal tightly.
- Heat the Oil: Pour approximately two inches of oil into a deep pan and heat over medium.
- Fry the Wontons: Carefully lower several wontons into the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Drain Excess Oil: Remove the wontons with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve Hot: Bring your crispy crab rangoon bites out while still piping hot, accompanied by your chosen dipping sauces.
Notes
For a lighter version, use an air fryer. Avoid overfilling the wrappers to prevent ruptures.
