  • 1 pound rigatoni pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked rigatoni, beef mixture, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
