Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Divide the dough into three equal parts. Leave one part plain, color one part with yellow food coloring, and the other with orange food coloring.
  7. Take small pieces of each colored dough and roll them into balls. Layer them together to create a swirl effect.
  8. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
