Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Combine the blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
- Pour the berry mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Dot the filling with small pieces of butter.
- Top with your choice of crust.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the filling bubbles.
- Cool slightly before serving with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Use cold ingredients for the crust for flakiness and allow the pie to cool before slicing.
