Description

Delightful air-fried pineapple chunks that are warm, caramelized, and bursting with tropical flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium fresh pineapple (about 3 cups chunks)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prep the pineapple: Start by cutting off the top and bottom of the pineapple to create a stable base. Stand it upright and, using your sharp knife, slice off the skin in strips, taking care to remove any “eyes” left behind. Cut the pineapple into 1-inch chunks.
  2. Toss with flavor: In a mixing bowl, combine the pineapple chunks with your choice of oil, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Toss gently until each piece is evenly coated.
  3. Preheat air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for 2 minutes.
  4. Air fry pineapple: Place the pineapple chunks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking or stirring halfway through.
  5. Serve warm: Carefully remove the pineapple chunks from the air fryer and serve them warm.

Notes

For maximum sweetness, ensure your pineapple is ripe. You can customize with spices or mix in other fruits.
