Ingredients

- 2 cups of potatoes, mashed
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 12 fresh strawberries
- Butter for frying
- Powdered sugar for serving
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them and let them cool.
- In a bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, egg, sugar, and salt to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into small pieces and flatten each piece in your hand.
- Place a strawberry in the center of each piece and wrap the dough around it, sealing it well.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and gently drop the knedle in.
- Cook until they float to the surface, then let them cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the knedle with a slotted spoon and let them drain.
- In a pan, melt butter and fry the knedle until golden brown.
- Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar.
