- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a separate bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cake mix.
- Fresh strawberries can be substituted with frozen strawberries, but make sure to thaw and drain them first.
