- 1 lb chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp shawarma spice mix
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil and shawarma spice mix, then coat the chicken thighs with the mixture.
- Place the diced potatoes on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Roast the potatoes in the oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the potatoes are roasting, grill or pan-fry the chicken thighs until cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
- In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to make the garlic yogurt sauce.
- Serve the chicken with roasted potatoes and drizzle the garlic yogurt sauce on top.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for a few hours or overnight.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less shawarma spice mix.
- This dish pairs well with a side of salad or pita bread.
