Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp shawarma spice mix
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the olive oil and shawarma spice mix, then coat the chicken thighs with the mixture.
  3. Place the diced potatoes on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roast the potatoes in the oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. While the potatoes are roasting, grill or pan-fry the chicken thighs until cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to make the garlic yogurt sauce.
  7. Serve the chicken with roasted potatoes and drizzle the garlic yogurt sauce on top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for a few hours or overnight.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less shawarma spice mix.
