Description

A delicious grilled cheese sandwich featuring smoky bacon and caramelized onions for a rich and savory flavor.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  3. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  4. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer cheese, bacon, and caramelized onions.
  5. Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Grill the sandwiches in the skillet over medium heat until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika to the onions while cooking.
