Description

A nostalgic dessert that transforms the classic root beer float into a creamy, dreamy pie with a graham cracker crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups root beer
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Additional whipped topping and root beer for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your kitchen! In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and sugar, pouring in the melted butter. Mix until moistened and press firmly into the bottom of your pie pan.
  2. Whip your softened cream cheese until smooth. Slowly pour in the root beer, whisking until combined.
  3. Fold in the thawed whipped topping, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, preserving the airy texture.
  4. Pour the filling into your prepared crust, spreading evenly.
  5. Cover your pie and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, or until set.
  6. Top with additional whipped topping and a drizzle of root beer just before serving.

Notes

This pie makes for a great make-ahead dessert. Allow it to chill overnight for enhanced flavors.
