- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 2 cups pomegranate juice
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh pomegranate seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a saucepan, combine pomegranate juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer until thickened.
- Season the turkey with salt and pepper, then place it in a roasting pan.
- Brush the turkey with the pomegranate glaze, reserving some for basting.
- Roast the turkey in the preheated oven, basting every 30 minutes with the glaze, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving. Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds.
Notes
- For best results, brine the turkey overnight before roasting.
- Adjust the sweetness of the glaze by adding more or less brown sugar.
- Serve with your favorite sides for a complete meal.
