A delicious fusion of classic Philly cheesesteak and creamy mac and cheese, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced onions and green bell peppers, sauté until softened.
  3. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak to the skillet and cook until browned.
  4. In a separate saucepan, whisk together flour and milk over medium heat until thickened.
  5. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then add cheddar and provolone cheese until melted.
  6. Combine the cooked macaroni with the steak and vegetable mixture, then pour the cheese sauce over it and mix well.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add Worcestershire sauce to the steak while cooking.
  • Feel free to use different types of cheese based on your preference.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
