- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 1 cup green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced onions and green bell peppers, sauté until softened.
- Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak to the skillet and cook until browned.
- In a separate saucepan, whisk together flour and milk over medium heat until thickened.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then add cheddar and provolone cheese until melted.
- Combine the cooked macaroni with the steak and vegetable mixture, then pour the cheese sauce over it and mix well.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until bubbly.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add Worcestershire sauce to the steak while cooking.
- Feel free to use different types of cheese based on your preference.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
