- 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
- 1 package frozen pierogi (about 16 ounces)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
- Add the sliced kielbasa to the skillet and cook until browned.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the frozen pierogi, followed by the kielbasa and onion mixture.
- Spread half of the sour cream over the kielbasa.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogi, sour cream, and cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables for extra flavor.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
