Description

A delicious honey garlic shrimp bowl combining sweet and savory flavors with colorful mixed vegetables over rice.


Ingredients

  • Shrimp (medium to large)
  • Honey
  • Garlic (fresh or minced)
  • Soy Sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • Brown Sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • Vegetable Oil (or olive oil)
  • Rice (white, brown, or jasmine)
  • Mixed Vegetables (bell peppers, snap peas, carrots)
  • Green Onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp by combining honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a bowl. Coat the shrimp and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Sauté the shrimp in a non-stick skillet with oil over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink.
  3. Cook the rice in a pot with water and salt according to package instructions.
  4. Sauté the mixed vegetables in the same skillet for 4-5 minutes until crisp-tender.
  5. Assemble the bowls starting with rice at the bottom, adding vegetables and then the shrimp on top.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
