Description

Delicious and savory Instant Pot French Dip Sandwiches made with tender beef and served with flavorful au jus.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, sliced

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and brown the roast on all sides.
  3. Add sliced onions and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then add thyme.
  5. Seal the Instant Pot and cook on high pressure for 60 minutes.
  6. Allow natural release for 10 minutes, then quick release the remaining pressure.
  7. Remove the beef, shred it, and return it to the pot to soak in the juices.
  8. Toast the hoagie rolls and fill them with the shredded beef and provolone cheese.
  9. Serve with the au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the beef overnight.
  • Serve with pickled jalapeños for a spicy kick.
