Ingredients

  • 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the peaches evenly.
  3. Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and fill it with the peach mixture. Dot the top with butter.
  4. Cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  6. Let the pie cool before serving to allow the filling to set.

  • For a sweeter pie, adjust the sugar according to the sweetness of the peaches.
