  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until fully combined, then spread in a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add in 2 eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter in the pan.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown, allowing some moist crumbs on a toothpick.
