Description

Gnocchi Carbonara with Bacon & Parmesan is a creamy and delicious pasta dish that combines soft gnocchi with crispy bacon and rich Parmesan cheese for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound gnocchi
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions until they float, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from heat and drain excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, and grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  4. Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet with bacon and pour the cream mixture over it.
  5. Stir everything together over low heat until the sauce thickens and coats the gnocchi.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Make sure to remove the skillet from heat before adding the egg mixture to prevent scrambling.
  • Feel free to add peas or spinach for extra vegetables.
