Ingredients

  • 34 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 hoagie rolls
  • Provolone cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the onion soup mix, beef broth, water, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Pour the mixture over the roast in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  5. Remove the roast from the crockpot and shred the meat.
  6. Return the shredded meat to the crockpot and stir to combine with the juices.
  7. Serve the meat on hoagie rolls, topped with provolone cheese if desired.
  8. Use the broth from the crockpot as a dipping sauce.
