- 2 Chicken Breasts, pounded evenly
- 1 cup Cottage Cheese
- 1 cup Marinara Sauce, divided
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs, preferably panko
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- Olive Oil for sautéing
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Italian Herbs to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare your chicken by pounding it to an even thickness and seasoning it.
- Sauté the chicken in a non-stick skillet with olive oil for about 5 minutes on each side.
- Mix the cottage cheese with half of the marinara sauce and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Assemble the dish by spreading the cottage cheese mixture in a baking dish and placing the chicken on top.
- Ladle the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
Notes
For a quicker cook time, consider using an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes.
