Ingredients

- 2 oz mezcal
- 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz agave syrup
- Ice for shaking and serving
Instructions
- Boil water by bringing 2 cups to a gentle boil in a small saucepan.
- Add the dried hibiscus flowers and cinnamon sticks to the boiling water, stirring gently.
- Reduce heat and let it steep for about 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture into a container, discarding the solids, and let it cool completely.
- In a cocktail shaker, mix the cooled hibiscus tea, mezcal, fresh lime juice, and agave syrup.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
- Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice and garnish with a lime slice or a cinnamon stick.
Notes
Chill your glassware in advance for an elevated experience. The hibiscus infusion can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to a week.
