Ingredients

  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add the chicken, browning lightly on both sides for about 3-4 minutes each.
  4. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and pour the salsa generously over the chicken.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  6. Add breadcrumbs evenly across the cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted, optionally broiling for an extra minute.
