- 4 slices of bread
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onions. Cook over medium heat until onions are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Season the onions with salt and pepper.
- Assemble the sandwich by placing cheese, bacon, and caramelized onions between two slices of bread.
- Grill the sandwich in the skillet until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Slice and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a touch of balsamic vinegar to the onions while caramelizing.
